The Next Wave of Champions: A Time to Focus

16 Aug 2019 by Mark Pallo

The boys from Raleigh return to the pitch this coming weekend after a massively successful offseason and look to defend their TASL Spring season title with another piece of hardware this Fall.

Club Chairman Grant Kaley stressed fitness and preparation in his recent preseason press conference. “We’ve had a handful of club members rededicate their fitness to unparalleled levels in the offseason while many of our players participated in statewide or regional based tournaments throughout the spring and summer. We’re returning to league play in top form and look for it to pay dividends in the win column.”

CCA will kick off the season without the services of Jimmy K. (lower body injury) with an unknown timetable to return while Philip (hamstring) will look to give it a go for the opener. CapCity will also welcome back the services of Conrad (hernia) who was sidelined all of last season and the return of Brian P. who took a short hiatus from the club. Other notable transactions include the retirement/transfer of Colm to O50 and the acquisition of Edil to the side.

The Alliance take the pitch Saturday August 17 at Southside 4 vs. Greyhounds. First touch at 10AM. Join the players and families post game at JD’s Tavern immediately following the match.
