CCA are no strangers to slow starts but the boys from Raleigh were determined to not make a repeat of last seasons opening loss to Dunoon. Phoenix FC battled back to make it a 2-1 match early in the second half but CapCity grinded out a handful of second half goals to pull away. 5-1 final. Todd, Troy, Kurt and Philip all saw back of net for the Alliance.
